This Day Will Come
Adriel is turning 3 months old this coming Friday…As I was telling my colleague the other day…how time flies and then old age soon will be creeping up on me…especially when you have kids. I can still vividly remember the day when I first met her. All those anticipation waits…finally she had arrived. I remember I did not sleep during my stay at the hospital. I was too excited then. When night fell, I would look at her photo taken from my handphone many times. I just couldn’t believe that a human being was amazingly created in me…and then here she was. It was a miracle. She was so small then…50 cm in length. Now she has grown…stronger, heavier and taller. She is no longer that tiny little girl who lay helplessly in the bassinet…She is able to rollover…crawl for a short distance…scream for attention...remove her mittens all by herself. Being babies are not easy I must say…the nurses wrap them up soon after they are born. Due to that, their movements are limited. And, they are put in the nursery…separated from their mothers. Since then, they are always learning new things. As a mother, I’m filled with pride. Here’s I’m going to say…"Adriel girl, Mummy loves you! Keep up the good work!" Soon, she will reply…"Mummy, I love you too!" This day will come eventually…

buSY
How time slips by mercilessly…I have already started work. Sad to say, the "Tai Tai" status is still far beyond my reach…During the 2 months of my maternity leave, I was trying to adapt to the life of motherhood…washing and sterilising baby accessories, breastfeeding, changing diaper…Basically, I have no time for myself. If I have the spare time, I would be tied down with the household chores. If not, I would spend time reading magazines/books on babies. At times, I really miss those days which I could do anything under the sun. However, I have no regrets. My heart brims with pride as I watch her growing…I’m filled with joy whenever she smiles at me…At times, she would sigh…and, in her baby language, she would talk or sing to me. These really melt my heart and I love her even more. I pray that she is always in good health.
