My Little Mousy

In a blink of an eye, I’m already a mother of two…Time flies. Heeee…I know. I’m a bit late updating my blog.

Mousy is already 3 months old. I enjoy every seconds with regards to motherhood. I’m currently total breastfeeding Mousy. Waking up several times in the night is no more a hassle…Haha…I’ve learnt to nurse Mousy in a lying-down position. One stone kills two birds. While nursing Mousy, I sleep as well. Thank You DaddyGod for making my motherhood a smooth-sailing one.

Recalling 3 months back, I suffered severe back pain. I could not walk nor stand. Unknowingly, I was actually in labour. Dr Koh wanted me to admit to the hospital immediately. In the labour ward, I immediately opted for epidural even though I felt no pain. I had already experienced labour pain before, so this time I did not want to suffer it the second time. I did not wait very long for the anesthetist to come. I was told to lie on my side so that the anesthetist could perform his role. I could feel the intense pain on my back. I prayed but yet feeling useless. Do I really in need of epidural? The pain that Lord Jesus had suffered was even millions times more intensive that what I was going through. Moreover, Lord Jesus already took away all my pains since the day He died on the cross. Anyway, I still opted a painless delivery.

Minutes slipped by and then hours…The nurses came in and then out several times to check on my dilation. Dr Koh came in to break my water bag. At this point of time, my legs were already numb due to the effect of epidural. I had to wait then for my cervix to be fully dilated. In between, there was a mother in stress next door. She was in labour. I heard much noise…encouragements, shouting…I think she was inhaling the laughing gas too. Tears welled up my eyes. I was emotional then. The nurse told me that the mother rejected epidural. I couldn’t stop praising that she was a real woman. I felt useless. Anyway, time just slipped by mercilessly. It was time to push…I was familiar then. I could feel the contractions even though both my legs were numb. I pushed many times but to no avail…maybe it was due to the effect of epidural. I felt relaxed. Soon, Dr Koh came in. Within the next few minutes, little mousy touched the earth. I thanked Dr Koh. The midwife brought her by my side. At that moment, I felt that I was the most blessed woman in the world. Dr Koh cleaned me up and then, I was pushed to my ward. It was a short labour. I was pushed to the delivery suite at 6pm and gave birth to mousy at 12.28am. I didn’t go through a long labour for Adriel either. Thank You DaddyGod for making both my pregnancies and deliveries a smooth-sailing one.

After a few days since I was discharged, Mousy was diagnosed with severe jaundice. We did the blood test at polyclinic and admitted her to KK hospital. Adriel had severe jaundice too. So, it was not something new. Mousy was put under the light treatment for 2 days and afterwhich, she was discharged.

During my confinement, I took very good care of myself. During my 1st one, I did not do well. As such, I was in poor health. Hence, this time round, I did it with care. I ate and slept well. However, a week after I delivered, I had hives. To-date, I still have them. I felt terrible whenever there was an outbreak. I went to see the doctor and sought a second opinion from another. Both told me it was due to hormonal change. The medications were quite effective. However, I would take them only when there is a serious outbreak. Even though the doctors that I had seen said that they were safe for breastfeeding. But I remained skeptical and would only nurse Mousy more than 6 hours after I consumed the medicine. I searched the Internet for remedy. I went into desperation at one point because I had them almost every night. I prayed and applied the anointing oil, had Holy Communion but to no avail. I don’t know what went wrong. However, thank God that I found an effective remedy. Starfruit leaves…I learned it from the Internet. Thank God that there is a small garden nearby my home maintained by some senior citizens. Hubby would puck some leaves from there, boil them with water and I would bathe with it. Miraculously, I have lesser outbreak and whenever there is, I would apply the water on the hives. They would disappear in the next hour or so. I believe that I will recover soon. Because I still believe this…By His stripes, I am healed. Yes, very soon. Friends, pleaseeee….pray for me.

By the way, I have returned work. How time flies! However, I have decided to quit very soon. I’m counting down now. My patient has reached to its maximum and I no longer could work there anymore. DaddyGod has a better plan for me. I believe so because blessing is on its way. Thank You DaddyGod!
